Aquantia Corporation was a manufacturer of high-speed transceivers. Aquantia first developed products for Data Center connectivity in 2004, and in 2012 they created the world’s first integrated 10GBASE-T MAC/PHY for servers.
In 2014, Aquantia introduced a new Ethernet technology called Multi-Gig and became one of the founding members of the NBASE-T Alliance. Their technology served as inspiration for the 802.3bz standard that was ratified by IEEE in September 2016.
On September 19, 2019, Marvell Technology Group acquired the company. The Aquantia brand was phased out and replaced with the Marvell brand.
